No. That's the simple answer. The reason? Well...
Have you seen this team play? They look like men among boys. Yes, they haven't played the greatest teams, Grand Canyon and Montana State. But no one can deny them of their crushing victory of then #5 Kansas, 72-40. Kentucky looked dominating from start to finish, holding the Jayhawks to just 12 points in the second half. Not only did they hold a top 5 team to 40 points but they held them to 19.6% shooting from the field. If you thought that game was a fluke Kentucky still has 7 more games against ranked opponents, including a matchup vs #7 Texas, December 5th. Kentucky has one of the toughest 3 game stretches you will see this year in the middle of December. They have to play North Carolina (5), UCLA (22) and rival Louisville (6). So, Kentucky will have a lot of time to prove how great they really are to people.
When you think of Kentucky basketball you think of a team full of freshman who are going to leave after the year. How could a team full of inexperienced freshman possibly win it all? Well, that is not the case this year. Kentucky only has 4 freshman on their roster. All 4 freshman were in he top 25 of ESPN's 2014 recruiting class. This is one of the more experienced teams coach Calipari has had to work with in a while. Led by Sophomore twins Aaron and Andrew Harrison, the Wildcats seem to have enough depth, talent and experience to win it all.
Do I think this team will blow every good team out like they did against Kansas? No. Kansas had a horrible shooting night and Kentucky played what could be their best game all year. But Kentucky has a more experienced lineup than usual, they have 2 juniors, 2 sophomores and a freshman in their starting lineup. Is it possible that all 5 of these guys leave after this year? Yes. Actually, I expect them too, especially if they win it all. The scariest part of it all is that this team will only continue to get better. They are still learning how to play with one another and it shows at times. Ball movement is lacking at some points in the game and they take questionable shots here or there. But what team doesn't? Especially a team that has this many top recruits. I don't think Kentucky runs the table. I do think the only way this team will lose is if they beat themselves. Coach Calipari has a unique team this year and he'll have to figure out a way to distribute minutes, and shots to make everyone happy. He needs to make sure that he can keep everyone happy or else problems will evolve and could ruin this team's potentially great season. It's still early in the season but Kentucky looks like an unstoppable force thus far. They still have many ranked opponents left on their schedule. I think this team will go 38-2 with losses to North Carolina and Florida. I also think they will be the #1 overall seed in the tournament and win it all. The only way this team will lose is if they beat themselves.... or play the Philadelphia 76ers.
